Our final theme of the year will be "After the Architect Leaves...the Good, Bad, and the Ugly." We are looking for articles that highlight design elements that worked better than expected or perhaps didn't pan out at all. Please send the title of your proposed article and a short paragraph describing its contents to DFA@aia.org by November 18, 2016. If you're tight for time, that's OK - just let us know. I know it's hard to reveal our mistakes - but that's the only way we get better as a profession!

We ask that articles be original submissions and 200-800 words in length. You are also highly encouraged to include pictures if they are available.

Furthermore, we are looking for additional volunteers to join our DFA communications team. We work with the DFA community to create themes and content for the quarterly newsletter Blueprints for Senior Living.

Those interested can email DFA@aia.org with a letter of interest and background.

    Thanks all,
