I recently was reviewing the proposed COVID-19 vaccine allocation for Montana under our previous state administration. In Montana, construction was deemed an essential service and by association related professional services such as architecture. The vaccine allocation prioritized essential workers in construction as Phase 1C which covered approximately 171,000 Montanans in total and included other essential workers in transportation, finance, food service, legal, and media among others. The proposed plan is attached. This also appeared to follow the CDC recommendations on vaccine allocation linked below.
COVID-19 and Your Health Montana's new Governor has since changed the plan since being sworn in at the beginning of January. However, I still wanted to share to see if any other states are prioritizing essential workers in vaccine distributions and if architects are deemed essential construction workers in your states.
