Any resources for architects for investigating fire damage in structures? Would plan on structural systems and M/E/P systems would be evaluated by an engineer.

Don't underestimate the amount of damage that has been done by the soot and fire fighting efforts.  The first time I went through a fire site, I was shocked at how pervasive the smoke damage was, with smoke and soot getting into the cavities of walls that otherwise looked undamaged.  Basically, at least one side of every wall needed to be removed so that the cavity could be encapsulated to prevent the house from smelling like a fireplace, and to help dry out the structure from all of the water that had been introduced.

I just re-read the original post and it appears that it was engineering systems that were being investigated.  I do not do that - but there are a number of engineering firms that do those sort of investigations.  Depends upon where the site being investigated is located.
